The mission of the Department of Library and Research Documentation and Central Library at AIMS is to support and enhance the institution's academic, clinical, research and publishing goals by providing timely, accurate, and comprehensive access to medical and scientific information. We are committed to fostering a culture of inquiry, ethical scholarship, and evidence-based practice through high-quality library services, research support, and learning resources. Major objectives of the Department of Library and Research Documentation and Central Library at AIMS are listed below:

2. To promote information literacy and research competencies among students, faculty, and healthcare professionals through training, workshops, and personalized guidance.

4. To facilitate ethical research practices through proper documentation, referencing, and research support services.

8. To support academic and scientific publishing by assisting faculty, researchers, and students in manuscript preparation, formatting, referencing, and submission to peer-reviewed journals.

11. To support scholarly publishing by providing technical and editorial assistance in manuscript preparation, journal selection, and submission processes, thereby encouraging high-quality academic and clinical publications.
12. To function as the Central Library and Referral Centre for all colleges, academic and research divisions, hospitals, offices and other departments under AIMS.
